Care Instructions

Pewter
GenIS.JPG

Easy care – requires no polishing. Hand-wash your pewter with mild soap and warm water. Towel-dry with a soft clean cloth. Not recommended for the dishwasher. Never place pewter in a microwave oven.

Before serving acidic foods, such as tomatoes or vinegar, lightly coat your pewter with vegetable or olive oil to protect your serveware from discoloration.

Each piece goes through a series of shaping, grinding, buffing and polishing steps. Slight imperfections are characteristic of the sand-casting process, and no two pieces are exactly alike.

As with any metal, it is not recommended that food be stored in your pieces for a sustained period of time.
